ABOUT Dawn Staub

Dawn Staub, M.Ed. is a licensed professional counselor, author, speaker, and adjunct professor with over 25 years of experience helping people navigate life’s most challenging seasons. Drawing on specialized training in trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and addiction, Dawn has dedicated her career to helping caregivers, families, and professionals learn to self-regulate, build resilience, and engage in self-care without guilt.

Her bestselling book, Always on Duty (released June 2025), quickly earned the Amazon New Release #1 spot in Family Health and #2 in Social Psychology and Interactions. In it, Dawn brings compassion and candor to the realities of caregiving, offering tools and insights that have already transformed the lives of thousands struggling with burnout and compassion fatigue.

With a Master of Education in Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington & Jefferson College, Dawn blends academic expertise with real-world wisdom. Whether she’s writing, speaking, or working directly with clients, Dawn’s approach is grounded, relatable, and deeply human.

When she’s not helping others find their calm, you’ll find her traveling or spending cherished time with her husband, children, and grandchildren—the inspiration behind her belief that healing begins at home.
